For our site in Borssele, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Controller to strengthen our team.
Assistant Controller (32-40 hrs. Per week)
Are you a hands-on professional with a keen eye for finance? Are you looking for a varied role in which you will act as the right hand to the Financial Controller? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
What will you be doing?
As a Assistant Controller, you will be part of the Finance & Administration team and work closely with the Financial Controller. You will act as a key support and help ensure that the financial administration is accurate and well organized at all times.
You will take on a high level of responsibility and independently manage a variety of financial and administrative tasks, including:
- Processing financial transactions
- Supporting the preparation of periodic financial reports, annual accounts and budgets
- Helping to safeguard the accuracy and completeness of both the financial and project administration
- Performing financial analysis of projects
- Carrying out tasks related to taxation
- Contributing to the improvement of administrative processes and the automation of reporting
What do you bring?
- A completed higher professional education (HBO level) in Finance (e.g. Accountancy, Finance & Control, Business Administration)
- A hands-on, independent and proactive mindset – you see what needs to be done and take action
- Strong attention to detail and solid analytical skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or accountancy
- Familiarity with financial systems and MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems would be advantageous
