Industrial Automation Engineer 

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you’ll be part of one of our project teams and will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing equipment. You enjoy working with others and are in frequent contact with fellow team members, external partners, and other departments. This allows you to determine the right approach and solution in consultation with your colleagues.

Your Responsibility

• As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you coordinate our electrical suppliers and external programmers.
• You are responsible for the timely delivery of PLC and HMI software.
• You create a Functional Design Specification based on input from the project team (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, Requirement Specification).
• You are responsible for testing and debugging the software.
• You ensure clear documentation whenever important software-related information arises.
• You contribute to managing and updating the core software.
• You work on continuously improving the user experience (UX).
• Together with the team, you help develop supporting tools.
• You collaborate with various departments and provide support with your technical knowledge and expertise.
• You create user manuals for the software and ensure they remain up to date.
• You stay current on innovations and developments in software and automation, and apply these effectively in your role.

Your profile 

• Bachelor-level working and thinking (HBO).
• Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge and experience with Siemens Industrial Automation (including TIA Portal).
• Familiar with Office 365 (Excel/Word).
• Experience with ePlan is a plus.
• Knowledge of other industrial hardware/software (e.g. SCADA, Allen Bradley) is a plus.
• Preferably residing in the Zeeland region.
