Senior Mechanical Engineer

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a challenge with complex assignments and innovative projects? As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at VAM WaterTech BV, you will design and implement mechanical systems and components for complex projects. You will propose technical solutions that fit within the overall concept, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

You will work independently, switch regularly between projects, and always maintain quality and accuracy—even under pressure. In addition, your role includes administrative, communication, project management, and occasionally commercial tasks. You are used to working to deadlines and applying methodologies and guidelines carefully.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing and developing detailed (and varied) mechanical drawings for complex machines.
• Proposing technical solutions that align with the overall project concept.
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge.
• Collaborating with colleagues inside and outside the department for coordination, advice, and support.
• Applying methodologies in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
• Performing administrative and communication tasks, sometimes with commercial aspects.
• Ensuring accuracy and quality, even under pressure.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, or a related field, supplemented with relevant courses or training (up to 3 years’ study load).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in machine construction.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA analysis.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and independent.
• Technical insight and experience in mentoring junior engineers.
• Strong communication skills, accurate, and results-oriented.
